Twice each year, the Colorado Youth Tennis Foundation awards individual player scholarships to youth and grants to organizations running programs for kids from economically challenged communities across Colorado.
In all, $25,722 was awarded at the spring disbursement meeting in March. A total of 25 youth received funds equaling $16,080, and grants to the following six organizations (nine programs) in varying amounts totaled $9,642.
Grand Junction Tennis Club – will serve 200 youth
I Have A Dream Foundation of Boulder County – will serve 400 youth
Lewis Tennis School – will serve 25 youth
Mesa County Tennis (Grand Junction) – will serve 350 youth
NJTL Fort Collins – will serve 800 youth
Springs Tennis (Colorado Springs) – will serve 120 youth
Scholarship and grant funding requests will be considered again this fall. The application deadline is September 1. Applications are available here and are based on need.
